Kinesiology
Kinesiology is a holistic therapy, combining western and eastern healing principles to bring a person back into homeostasis on an emotional, mental, physical or energetic level.
Kinesiology uses biofeedback muscle testing, linking muscles to the nervous system to identify stress within the body on a physical, psychological or physiological level to uncover the root cause. The aim of kinesiology is to restore balance by activating the body’s innate healing process.
At Evolved Mind Body, I work with subconscious emotions, memories, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs—bringing them into conscious awareness to release blockages. By facilitating the release of old patterns and pain, helps reconnect to your true self and navigate life's challenges with greater ease.
To correct imbalances, a variety of non-invasive techniques, including acupressure (applying pressure to meridian points), sound therapy, neurolymphatic massage, neurovascular stimulation, flower essences, emotional stress release techniques, and affirmations are used.
Every session is unique and tailored to the person on the day. The body will only release what it is ready to release on the day.
Kinesiology can be used to treat many issues, including:
Self-development and goal setting
Self-esteem and personal empowerment
Emotional or relationship problems
Low energy levels
Sleeping difficulties
Hormonal imbalances
Musculoskeletal issues or pain
Learning difficulties
Fears or phobias
Chronic and autoimmune illnesses
Immune system issues
Digestive issues
Nutritional imbalances
And much more

The initial appointment includes a comprehensive health and well-being review to determine appointment and treatment goals.
Throughout every session, you will lay comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed with shoes off. Gentle pressure will be applied on your arm to muscle monitor and pinpoint stress in your body.
Various techniques such as acupressure, sound, neurolymphatic massage, neurovascular stimulation, flower essences, emotional stress release techniques and affirmations will be used.

This is dependent on the severity and complexity of the issue being treated by kinesiology. Every person is different.
4 - 6 sessions are recommended for complex or chronic issues, spaced every 2 - 3 weeks to allow integration. Depending on how you respond, you may need less or more. This is a guide only and there is no commitment to a set number of sessions. This can be assessed as you go.
Ongoing maintenance is recommended either on a monthly basis or as an issue arises.
-
Please wear comfortable clothing - ideally shorts, leggings or pants as various muscles (including leg) may be tested throughout a session.
I recommend wearing a pair of socks as you will be required to take your shoes off.

Each person will respond differently to a kinesiology session.
In general, most people will have more clarity, particularly when working on a emotional issue, and feeling lighter, calmer and relaxed. If you are working on a physical issue, you may notice a reduction in pain. Tiredness is also quite common after a session due to energetic shifts while the nervous system and body realigns.
Some people may experience an exacerbation of their symptoms for a couple of days as the body realigns itself. This is normal.
Overall, the changes from a kinesiology session will continue to occur up to a few days after. I recommend drinking lots of water and resting to help your body integrate the changes.
